Mobile Field Shelter - Clipper

Overview

Our Clipper Range of Mobile Field Shelters includes enhanced durability features.

The Clipper Range offers a number of upgrades over the Value Range of Mobile Field Shelters. These include; anti-chew stripping to the vertical side of each opening and a timber slip rail and galvanised brackets.

Mobile field shelters designed by Chart Stables are moveable, require minimal groundworks and in most cases do not require planning permission.

Main Features

  • Pressure treated timbers externally and internally (not including roof purlins)
  • 75mm x 50mm (3” x 2”) timber framing
  • Available with or without a 1.2m (4’) canopy to front
  • Guttering and downpipe
  • Heavy duty 18mm (¾”) high density, moisture resistant kickboards to 1.2m (4’)
  • Anti-chew Stripping to vertical side openings
  • Timber slip rail & galvanised brackets to each opening
  • 150mm x 75mm (6” x 3”) pressure treated timber skids or 100mm x 100mm (4” x 4”) metal skids
  • Heavy duty chain supplied for towing
  • Black Onduline roof sheeting

Specification

Wall Construction

Walls are built with 75mm x 50mm (3” x 2”) pressure treated timber framing, spaced at 600mm (2’) centres.

Wall Cladding

Selected high quality 16mm Shiplap boarding (12mm finished size), pressure treated to ensure a long, maintenance-free life. Weatherboard is available as an option. All boarding is fixed with rust resisting nails.

Roof Construction

Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. Optional roof finishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles. Clear roof sheets are available on request.

Openings

All openings fitted with anti-chew stripping, 100mm x 50mm slip rail & brackets.

Timber Mobile Skids

Timber skids are constructed using pressure treated 150mm x 75mm (6” x 3”) single lengths of timber.  Towing points are located at both ends and a heavy duty chain is supplied.

Metal Mobile Skids

Metal skids are constructed using 100mm x 100mm (4” x 4”) galvanised metal. Towing points are located at both ends and a heavy duty chain is supplied.

Kickboards

Field Shelters are lined to 1200mm (4’) with 18mm (¾”) high density, moisture resistant board and can be fully lined to eaves if required. Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are not lined as standard. Alternative types of kickboard are available.

Canopy/Overhang

Front overhangs extend to 1200mm (4’) and can be underlined as an optional extra.

Guttering

Half round, black guttering and downpipe is fitted to the front of all units. Rear guttering is available on request.

Height

To eaves, measures 2160mm (7’1”) and to ridge 2770mm (9’1”), not including skids.

Barge Boards

All in pressure treated, prepared timber, fixed with rust resisting nails.

Timber Treatment

All timber is pressure treated (not including roof purlins).
